Kitchen sinks to match every worktop

Synthetic sink Ignis Trend collection view 6 Atron

At Atron, we are clear that choosing the worktop is just as important as choosing the kitchen sinkkitchen sink. That is why we work hand in hand with Silestone – the world's leading worktop manufacturer – so that the colours of our sinks match the colour of their worktops and, consequently, we can offer our customers a completely coherent and uniform product.

But what types of worktop does the market offer?

Types of worktop

We can classify the main types of worktop as follows:

  • Granite, originating from natural rock – a very resistant and waterproof material. It comes with a lifetime guarantee.
  • Marble – obtained from limestone and, although waterproof and resistant, it is much more porous than granite, which means it can stain more easily.
  • Silestone – as mentioned, it offers a wide variety of colours to choose from and excellent performance, although it is a little less resistant to high temperatures. Some versions include antibacterial treatment.
  • Corian – made up of minerals and pigments. This makes it highly hygienic and capable of creating continuous surfaces, even when integrated sinks are used. One drawback is that it can deform under high temperatures and become stained.
