While it is true that we devote part of our effort and determination to choosing the best kitchen sink, the best worktop and even the best appliances, why don't we do the same when choosing the best floor?
Basic tips for choosing the best floor
There are three basic principles you should follow to choose the best floor for your kitchen:
– Try to choose tiles with rectified edges so that the joints between them are minimal.
– Avoid choosing tiles with rough textures, as they are not usually advisable in terms of cleaning, even though they are tremendously decorative.
– Do not choose white or black tiles; why? Because dirt shows much more on them.
And what about wood?
Well, natural wood requires a certain amount of attention on our part to prevent it from deteriorating more easily, even though we are currently told that it can be treated with ultra-resistant varnishes. But why take the risk of spilling hot oil on a wooden floor, marble, granite, baked clay or hydraulic flooring – all materials that require additional protection and that, of course, are not the best option for everyday kitchen life?
In any case, if you like the warmth of wood on your kitchen floor, you can opt for vinyl imitation or ceramic parquet that amazingly reproduces the natural look of wood but does not require such precise care.
Be that as it may, keep in mind that what interests you least is having to do extra work on the surface you walk onor isn't it better to put all our attention on what we are going to cook for dinner today?
